oh my god and jesus and god again do I love the BDO World Darts Championship or what? - it is with no doubt the most sporting event of the year. Everyone loves everyone, you get bezzy mates playing bezzy mates in the semis and apologising to the other for winning, you get violent looking men crying when they win and as Martin 'The Legend' Fitzmaurice said "It's probably the only sport where the spectators are fitter than the players".

Nick says the reason he loves The Darts so much is because it is like an hour long penalty shoot-out done by American Wrestlers. - I like that.

Both semis and the final were some of the most exciting matches I have ever seen > proper jump up and pointing at the telly shit.

We watched the final round at Adam's house, it was pretty fucking intense let me tell you especially the last 4 sets where Tony 'The Silverback' O'Shea repeatedly stepped up and snatched back match winning leg after match winning leg from Ted 'The Count' Hankey's hands. we were all going BATSHIT (no pun intended actually that isnt a pun is it? does it count? << THAT was unintentional as well - anyway whatevers). Mairead though new to the spport was probably the most vocal with OOOHs and AARRRRGGHs, nick was squealing like a hog in some bits, adam was more authoritative - like a teacher "oh COME ON" and I almost bit my finger offin the final set when they were both breaking each others throws.

there was just one word for it.

AND - in the post match interview when Ted said that he was sorry that Tony lost, Tony said that if he really was sorry he would split the 95 grand win with him - HAH what a legend.
